An Asset Tag is an identifying label place on all University-owned DNCAs.
Overview
An asset tag is essential for IT to track and maintain inventory of work-issued DNCAs. It is common for IT technicians and staff to ask for your asset tag from time to time for the aforementioned purpose in addition to confirming your device assignment when working on it directly.
The Asset tag is usually a small label found somewhere on the device, most commonly on the underside of the device. The tag will be 6-7 characters depending on the type of tag on your device.
