The University of Maryland’s Terp AI is now a powerful, secure generative AI chatbot offered by UMD’s Division of Information Technology that can be integrated across lines of business within Athletics IT.

Terp AI offers practical value for Athletics IT:

  • Generate support content quickly: FAQs, email drafts, or quick reply templates
  • Summarize logs or maintenance reports uploaded as PDFs
  • Parse Excel sheets—for example, inventory tracking or service ticket lists
  • Brainstorm tools or workflows, such as automated ticket triage
  • Code assistance: help writing scripts for inventory, notifications, or data analysis
